Big announcement to happen next week was picked up in the Mac/Tech blogs yesterday. Based on the pic it looks like it is mainly iPod focussed but based on other rumours the MacBook and MBP line is also due a refresh.
Given that the 10.5.5 also seems imminent (the last version 9F29 contained just two fixes), it could well coincide with next week's hardware announcements.
