Hi aquamac, First.., congratulations for you web site. I have a little question, I saw that you flashed a x800xt, but here in Chile the x800xt are out of stock. Also there are some Ati "All in Wander" x800xt AGP, and i want to know if it is the same x800xt metod to flash the x800xt AIW? Link to the card: www.sym.cl/product_info.php?products_id=708thanx for you help BTW: How is the x800xt performance compared with a 9800pro? Note: I am a friend of RoninSW, we are neighbors..

Hi there,
I am afraid that I have no experience flashing all in wonder cards, I also think that for success you are better sticking to cards that have the closest physical componentry as the original Apple cards. Certainly the TV part will not function, that is for sure as the Apple rom has no inclusion for this & there are no drivers either. By the way yours & Roninsw's English is very good! I don't recall seeing anyone flash an All in Wonder card to mac on the strangedogs forums, but it might be worth a check through the long X800 thread if you haven't allready done so.
Think I would hang on till they get some more GT'S in stock or XT's.
Almost forgot, yes the performance of the XT is quite a bit snappier than 9800 in MDD where I tried it!
Regards, Steve.

thanx for you answer..
I got other two opinions in strangedogs forum. Maybe a 6800gt would be a good alternative to replace my actual 9800pro of my G5 dual?...7800GS is my dream, but no public rom disponible yet...and i dont know get one from.

Hi Marcelog4,
The 6800GT Works well in the G5 and is an easy flash, also there is no having to remove the rom chip & solder on a new one as the rom is less than 64kb & available from strangedogs. The 78' is nearing completion but is a rom switch anyway. I think the 6800 Gt is the one for now.
Regards,
Steve.
