Right now I'm using my old left overs from my QS - a Classic 7500 AGP remember those? Works pretty well... but looking to totally go nuts on this AGP... At work we have a extra 9800 Pro 256 for a G5 AGP just collecting dust... will that work? I don't wanna spend a ton of cash on my little project... still frustated over that fact that I can't use my Dual QS 1 gig processor card without cutting my second drive bay and ripping the cd-rom connector off the motherboard... Oh well... I think I'm gonna look for a 3rd party upgrade... Any suggestions would be great help! And while I asking... where can I find a link to modding a PC powersupply to work with mac? I can find one for thd MDD... is that same?
Thanks again!

Hi Raceblur, Are you meaning that you are putting the components from a Quicksilver (logic board etc) in a Classic 7500 case?? OR do you have something like a 100 mhz bus Sawtooth? Do you mean you currently have an ATI 7500. Please post back on these details. In the meantime, here are some things that may be helpfull: For the details on using a PC power supply in a say a Sawtooth, go here: www.xlr8yourmac.com/systems/ATX_G4_AGP_conversion/G4_AGP_to_ATX_case_pg2.htm#nextwww.outofspec.com/frankenmac/wire.shtmlI've done this mod before and it works a treat. On anything after a Sawtooth you have to deal with the ADC power supply, but this has also been done by many others. 9800 will work in a Sawtooth, I modded the PC power supply for the same reason, to use a 9800. The G5 9800 Pro AGP card will NOT work in a G4 as the card uses an AGP Pro connector, which is longer than a Std AGP slot & will not physically fit in the slot. However the Retail version of the 9800 AGP mac card did fit as the AGP connector was keyed with 2 slots. 98's can also be flashed with the roms available from strangedogs but finding a 2/4 x card is more difficult than it used to be.

Sorry for the confusion... I have a Sawtooth with an ATI 7500 pulled from my QS. So I've heard I can modify a 9700 for Sawtooth duty? Is this true? Or is that a pain in the butt to do???
Thanks for your reply...

well, there was a 9700 out for mac, but it was a 4X agp only. You might be able to flash a pc 9700 that is 2X compliant. As for anymore info, you might want to talk to aqua about that one. Infor on the Mac 9700 is located here.
