Hello, here my another "QS" Mod "Make the Mac into a PC Case"! *sorry* for the Cable-Mismatch, but it's not otherwise possible! Here the Hardware inside: * Mainboard: Quicksilver "133Mhz FSB" * CPU: G4 Motorola "PowerPC 745x" mit 933Mhz/133Mhz FSB (32Kb/32Kb/L1 - 256Kb/L2 - 2MB/L3 "Cache"), with Jumper to 1000Mhz! * RAM: 2x512MB + 1x256MB =1250MB "PC133" * Graphics Card: Mac-Rom flashing ATi 9800Pro/128MB/AGP with Zalman-Cooler * HDD: 160GB Maxtor ATA133/UDMA6 * HDD-Controller: ACARD ATA133/UDMA6/PCI * DVD-ROM: Matsunutsa/Panasonic "SR-8588-C" 16/48x * DVD-Burner: NEC "ND-3500A" 16x & DualLayer * USB: NEC 4xUSB 2.0 PCI Card * PSU: Original Apple/Mac Quicksilver * Case: Metallcase from "Mercury" Ok...that's my Mac! Greetings Sisco & welcome to aquamac forums!
You have made a really good job of your conversion to a PC case. Neat job round the back too. How are your temps, I am sure they must be now much lower than in the original case? Also you have more room to let the ATI 9800 breath, as they do get pretty hot!
How did you mount the board, presumably you had to fix some new "standoffs" to the case?
