Ok, i know the Nvidia 6200 Series AGP card can be flashed for a mac. I know, i had one for my Quicksilver, but the question arises... Why won't it work on a 4X AGP slot on an MDD. I have heard so many say it isn't possible, but why. No one has answered that question. Other than "it just won't work". I know the card isn't the best for gaming, but for what i am using my MDD for (Photoshop, music and video watching), why can't i pick up a card at my local computer shop, flash it, make the pin mods and put it in my mac? My QS had a 4X agp, my MDD has a 4X agp, other than a bus speed difference and faster ram, why won't it work?

My guess is, that there is some incompatibility between MDDs chipset and NV4x GPUs. Three cards are having troubles with MDD: 6200, 6600 and 6800. They're all based on NV4x chips (NV44, 43, 40). But some of 6800 worked well with MDD (maybe chip revision had something to do with it?), like Aquamac's one. This is only expalanation what comes into my "middle-technical" head

Well, that is a way better answer than what i was getting online Thank you very much. By the looks of it, i might be able to get my hands on a 9600 XT card and i will see how that goes. As for "middle-technical head", nah, i call that a "fully-technical head" ;D
