Hi there Mr. Aqua-Mac. Nice work with the Athlon Mac PC and getting OSX running on it, saw it today and thought it was a Mac, I never really saw a PC running OSX. Anyway a good friend of mine scraped his crappy PC and he gave me an option for his BFG 6800 Ultra with 256 MB. Now I cant seem to understand what the Problem on FW800 MDD's is. I tried to look for the Problem on Strangedogs and I cant seem to find any real info on it. Anyway I'm realy interested in this card for my FW800 and I might just give a shot. What would you say as I have never tried it. I didnt get the X3, some guy got the card for 200 Euros and I was too late to bid higher, thats not all that tragic, I'll just wait a bit until I find another one. Here is a Pic of the card thats currently in my possesion, I don't want to touch it since it still belongs to my friend. But if will work that would be great. The Pic of BFG Card: Keep up the good work.

Hi dopeman,
Sorry taking a while to get back to you on this one but I've been away for a week. The 6800 quite often causes the MDD's to crash when changing resolutions, or sometimes randomly, although I had one in my FW800, and although not perfect can't remember, think it was Halo would not load. The card you show is a pretty rare card & virtually identical to my Ultra, it is a very nice card in G5 DA & Quicksilver. We never quite got to the bottom of it's problems in the MDD, but it is an easy flash, as the rom is less than 64kb. If you want working DVI, download Arti's rom from strangedogs, you will need to change the device id in the rom to 40 instead of 45. If you are not sure on that let me know.
