I was thinking of that for the SATA idea, but i think what i might do is get another seritek card. Since out of all the mac cards, it's the only one that's bootable. There's another one I know: Acard AEC-6890M (RAID, I have one), but it's SATA I only. It has 4 port version, code AEC-6896M (RAID too). There's only one problem with bootable PCI RAID cards: no sleep allowed - KP on wake. At least with these what I've tested.

Well, i had some fun. Found out that running my CPU at 1.58 GHz was unstable as hell. So i dropped it back to a safe 1.42 GHz. For me that is still pretty good. Same speed that my Quicksilver ran at with the Sonnet upgrade. Also, here is a link that maybe some of you might enjoy... MDD PSU modTook me a day and into the night to get it right and finish it up. It's a little quieter than the original apple PSU, but i think i still need better fans. These ones are still rated pretty loud.

You should've bump CV to 1.60 V before downclocking. I bet that it would be enough to make it stable.

And the heat would have been too much. even at 1.58 with a CV of 1.55, it idled at 40 ºC. Now at 1.42 @1.55, she sits nicely at 34 ºC

Well, got my hands on an Asus 9200SE card. It's 128 MB, but i was able to go through the roms on the mac elite wiki and i found one that worked. So now i have a 9200 card with 64 MB ram running in my MDD. I had to disable pins 3 and 11 or else the card wouldn't kick up the mac. Also performed the resister mod on R229 to R230. The card used the TSOP ram chips and it was nothing like the reference design 9200 cards. Card looks like this one... This is what my About This Mac says now...
