i have a gtx 285 that seems to work fine including QE/CI with efi strings in 10.6.4 on a p6t.(thanks to aquamac) i cleared out all the kexts and efi strings and installed the latest nvidia (256.00.05a23) drivers and i get a screen with no icons or menus, just a cursor and rectangles. any thoughts? i'm trying to get the cuda working.

Sounds like something is missing. Did you have it working before. You could try installing these drivers which should get your system up and running again.

i installed the latest nvidia driver and still had the same problem. i went back to your drivers. the cuda driver seemed to load ok. the cuda test seemed to work. i got 2.3 fps with one app and 20fps with the other. GE/CI/dual monitors etc all seem to work fine except no opengl3. any thoughts about the current nvidia driver? i'm running 64bit as well.

Hi guys.
I'm afraid to install 10.6.4 w/ GTX 285. I've used Chamaleon install w/ kexts for P6TD Deluxe from Ifabio/Insanelymac. Very easy to do.. dont need to edit/install any kext.
Help please in the install process!
regards
Rodrigo

i have a plain P6T. i did a retail disk install with a couple of added kext and had no problems. easiest install to date. i added the gtx 285 according to aquamacs great tutorial and fermi drivers and had no problems. everything works except update to post mid-2010 nvidia drivers.

Are Opengl 3 running?
Are you using 10.6.3 or 10.6.4?
Whats your score in Cinebench?
Thanks a lot

Don't think anyone round here has GTX 285's at the moment. I sold mine to purchase GTX 480!

Are the 480 fully supported?
64bits?
How many fps do you get at CINEBENCH?
Can you run OPEN CL and quartz? Cheers!!'

I have core image and quartz extreme in 64 bit snow, but it currently runs slower than GTX 285 due to immature drivers. Open GL works but currently open CL does not. This should be rectified when Apple produce a fermi card.
