Hi Folks,
Intel DG45ID Mobby, OSX 5.7 PNY nVidia 9400GT dvi-a, dvi-b. Using NVinject
First post. I had managed to get my Hackintosh working near perfectly for about a month, . Shut it down on Friday, started it the following day got monitor out of range error.
After much faffing around went to a time machine backup (reinstalled chameleon 2 of IATKOS disk) same problem. Actually swapped the graphics card to one identical - same problem. Tried aquamacs installer creating EFI string (verified by another posters EFI string) still getting monitor out of range. If I remove all the nVidia kexts it boots into 1024x768 mode it works as you would epect. Its so weird. Ive a feeling its now something to do with cameleon.
PS Tried my Samsung telly where I saw flashes of video output and mode not supportred.
4 days solid, stumped and depressed

Hi,
If you have a dual DVI card, try the other DVI port. Try removing NVInject but re-installing the Nvidia kexts and GFX strings but make sure there is no NVInject.

Aqua Mac, Im a happy bunny. followed your instructions, still got error. I popped out and got a high quality dvi video cable and Im now working again.
As mentioned I am using your method rather than NVinject and the procedure worked first time.
Worth noting if you black screen, get a proper dvi - dvi cable
Thanks again
P.S the super-hackintosh looks amazing
