Hi akim, I have a doubt about you will be able to use the SAS port for OSX, (but I'm really not expert)... Do you have a running Mac OS system near you (virtual or real mac)? If yes, install snow leopard to your SATA drive using an USB caddy as I did. Then, you can install chameleon (RC5) to this new install (be carefull to change de destination). As I said, for me, booting is possible after copying files from P6T7_BOOTER (from aquamac) to the extra folder of your new setup. I hope you'll enjoy soon. Have a nice day.

Socialcase, your Andy Warhol display is what happens when you have mismatched driver kexts and openGL.framework and openCL.frameworks. The good news is that your strings are correct. You need 10.6.5 minimum (preferably 10.6.6) combo update and then install the mac drivers from the nvidia website or my installer under fermi installer.

Just wanna say something ... OUH YEAH !!! It's a great moment when I see the menu bar transparency for the first time Thanks a lot aquamac ! And many thanks goes to the entire community. I've updated 10.6.5 to 10.6.6 and installed aquamac fix for 10.6.6 and it seem's to work pretty cool in 2560x1600 ! I'm gonna try to setup Cuda for Mac and hope Premiere CS5 will be able to read AVCHD like it did on Windows. Next step, running Snow Leopard on the RevoDrive. If somebody have advices, it would be great. If I could help someone, do not hesitate for asking. Have marvelous days, dear hackintosh users

Hi First of all I want to thank you all for all the information you share on this forum. I've always been a Windows user but have to set up now an Hackintosh since a needed software (Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve) isn't available on Windows and to expansive on Linux ($40k instead of $1k on OSX) and Mac Pros have unfortunately only 4 PCIe slots. I bought already all the components which should arrive in the next days: ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer, X58 Intel Core i7-950, 4x 3.06GHz 24GB 1600 DDR3 RAM 3x GTX 480 (with watercooling blocks to fit them in a single slot) DeckLink HD Extreme 3D+ 8x 1TB Spinpoint F3 Arceca ARC-1880-i Enermax Revolution85+ 1250W ATX 2.3 Mac OS X 10.6.3 Thanks to AquaMac's detailed walkthrough, I'm pretty optimistic that I can somehow manage the install. I just didn't understood one thing: You wrote in the walkthrough that I have to change the com.apple.boot.plist in the installer. How do I implement the new strings from your GFX Strings Walkthrough into the OSX installer on the 16GB flash drive I prepared? Just open it up from the drive? And is there a way of integrating the update to 10.6.6 already on the 16GB flash drive or can I simply install 10.6.3 and update later? Thanks again for all the information here... I would have never even thought about this project without all the walkthroughs available here! David

heheh hello, I have already 'did with the gtx 470, gtx personally have 4 water red rocket and black magic 3d 8800 gt for the gui and use Davinci resolve, the problem is what to use it for? Then keep in mind that the asus theoretically has 64 PCIe lanes have two nf200 chipset. so either you satisfied with all the lines + 1 x8 to x16 and it becomes difficult to manage the system. 1. if it is helpful if you use to R3D flows (red one), you need a faster processor and rocket red card, otherwise you can not do much. 2. you connect a monitor to professional 3d Blackmagic, Panasonic projector or otherwise the correction becomes a crap. 3.A can sometimes' does not happen that initializza the black magic 3d.
Greetings:) and congratulations for this beautiful machine.

Hi fellow RedUser, since I'm working also on s16 and 35mm projects, I'm converting all footage to 10bit dpx files. Same goes for R3D files which I convert after a first light in RedCine-X, mostly to RedColor2 and RedLogFilm. I'll probably buy some Rockets next summer with my Epics, until now I render everything to dpx files on a seperate workstation. The CPU should be fine with dpx files. As an reference monitor, I use a calibrated Panasonic P50VT20E (German version of the P50VT25). Did you experienced any problems with the Blackmagic Decklink 3D+?

And i don't see logon screen is this error?(logon automatically). My videocard(sapphire HD5770 1 gb) works only with 2 monitors with Uakari framebuffer(i want use with only one DVI is it possible?)

Hi everyone ! How are you feeling today ? With your precious help my new workstation run like a charm. I'ts a pleasure to final cut with premiere CS5 & Cuda on OSX. Thers is just one thing I regret, the sleeping mode won't work... Maybe because I had to remove the sleepenlabler. So if someone can tell me how I could get a perfect sleeping mode in OSX (and if there is something special to param in P6T7 bios) it would be wonderful. Please, enjoy !
