An IRC channel has been made for you all to log into, have fun, and talk about anything Mac. What is IRC? IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat". IRC is a multi-user chat system, where people come together in "channels". A channel is a virtual place where users talk in groups, or privately. What is #aqua-mac? #aqua-mac is a chat channel on IRC. The channel is there so that aqua-mac fans can talk about mods and anything else having to do with the Macintosh computers. #aqua-mac Rules 1) No spam 2) No flooding the channel 3) No automated scripts 4) No racism 5) No asking for ops 6) If you have a problem, ask an op 7) No advertising in the channel How to join #aqua-mac Download an IRC client for your computer: » mIRC (Windows client) » Ircle (Mac client) » Snak (Mac client) » ShadowIRC (Mac client) » AkwaIRC (Mac client) » iRC (Mac client) » X-Chat (Mac client) » pregnant dogX (Unix client) » EPIC (Unix client) » irssi (Unix client) » X-Chat (Unix client) Connect to the server irc.dal.net and type "/join #aqua-mac".

Hi JJ, Thanks muchly for putting all this together, it is really apprecieted. Things have been extremely busy today at work - late home. Have a new rom to test tonight, but did manage to get some extra pics of the watercooled MDD up on the site. Perhaps we can give the IRC a go tomorrow night when I get in from work between 7-10 oclock my time, don't know if this is convenient for you?
Steve.

Hi JJ,
Have logged on a couple of times, but to be honest, things have been even busier than usual lately. I have been putting on an exhibition at our factory & doing 12 hour days the last couple of weeks, maybe this weekend coming.

Well, after 3 days of having the IRC channel down, i finally got it back up and running. DALnet deemed it necessary that my server IP address was to be banned for flooding Trojan horse virus' onto their other servers. After giving them a piece of my mind, they had the nerve to tell me that it was a random thing that they do and my IP address was caught in the middle of it all. Yeah right... I say discrimination against Macintosh users. So, if anyone wants to log in and chat about their macs and/or modding techniques, feel free to do so. The channel is hosted on irc.dal.net:7000 and the channel to log into is #aqua-mac
EDIT. The host of the channel is Tohyo_Miho. Not to worry, that is my registered nick for watching the server.

Well, since DALnet is being a pain and not being very helpful with why no one has been able to connect, i figured i would switch the channel over to a worthy host. Now right now this is temporary but for right now it will work.
Connect to the server irc.hak5.org and type "/join #aqua-mac".

It's up and running, but most people don't seem to have time to log onto IRC anymore. It's being monitored by my server, hence why if you say something, Tohyo_Miho won't say anything. She's just there to keep the channel alive.

Would be good to get the channel seeing some traffic. IRC is very useful when you feel like your hitting your head against a brick wall!

the IRC has been off for over a year. no one came online so i figured i would quit monitoring it. plus dalnet was being a pain and no other irc would let me handle what i needed, so i just let it die.
