I can Mod any xbox 360 Firmware with a Benq DVD, Samsung DVD, Hitachi DVD or the Lite-on DVD. for people here in the States. I do not support Piracy, as this is intended for legal back-up use. Just offering service to the not so brave.
PM for more info.
However, Hitachi has 7 models. I will not do the Hitachi 79 dvd drive. there more trouble than there worth to be honest, as they need a passkey or a TSOP flash which requires a external programmer.
price is $50, you pay shipping.
Just needing extra cash, and like to do this for fun.

what about drives for the original xbox? I know Llamma.com has DVD drives for a decent price, can you match or beat their quotes? Just asking because my drive in my old xbox gave up the ghost and won't read certain discs after 5 min. That's why i am buying a 360 today so i can play the classic games.

You just need a POT tweak is all.
I'll dig around for the Photo's for them, on a how-to. Simple to do, but a small turn goes a long way.
on a side note: Could be a lens going bad, but most the time I've just had to tweak the POT.
You can try Google on xbox dvd POT tweak
EDIT: Spelling

Sorry Red, I don't keep much parts around now days for the xbox 1. though I do still have my spider chip for it, and ARMAX media disc. for modding the PS2, lol. Oh, Like your new avatar, looks cool.

Right on, that's cool. Like i said, i am giving away my xbox 1 to a friend that wants one but can't afford one.
Hardest part right now is getting a tv that is cheap so i can game again.
As for the avatar, i'm not going with the efi-x system, i'm getting a new white macbook instead with the 9400m chipset so i can retire the old QS.
