I'm going to post my responce to both of your threads in one, since they are both related to the same topic. I'm wondering if the iMac 27" ATI Radeon 4850 with 512mb, i5 quad core 2.66ghz, 4GB ram is any good for gaming, and if so, what graphics settings can it play games such crysis, just cause 2, battlefield bad company 2, gta 4, mw2 etc at? As for the Macbook 13, other than a smaller screen than the 15 or the 17" models, the graphics card, cpu and mamory capabilities are really good for gaming. As for the iMac, well, i have Crysis on my computer and that is a very demanding game, i am able to play it on a dual core AMD with 3.6 GHz OC"ed, 8 gig ram and an ATI 3870 X2 video card. So it should run games pretty good. Now here is the clincher. The games you mentioned are all PC based games, not Mac. So if you wanted to run PC games on a Mac nativly (or close to it) you need one of these to be installed before you can even tackle that on the iMac or the Macbook. Crossover Games...or Parallels...or Boot Camp...Without one of those, well, you are SOL for even trying to install them on a Mac, let alone play them.
