Hey, so far I am pretty stable with my Snow Leo Installation on my Asus P6T6 WS Revolution Board: www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=202132Only Problem I have is a PowerOff / PowerOn issue! When I shutdown and restart, very often my System does not boot up. No boot screen appears! I have to turn off the power from my power supply, power it on again an start up. Often two time, first time shows me F1 / F2 Bios Options. Any Solutions for that? I checked my DSDT and it seems to be Okay. Maybe EvOreboot.kext? Any help or ideas? BR, derpuma

Here is the installer for everything I put together for a P6T6: rapidshare.com/files/327422533/ASUS_P6T6_-_64_bit_9800_GX2_CHAMELEON_4.zipI do not have the problems you talk of. You can look inside the package and at my DSDT etc. It has fixes for sound ICH10 and many more. Sleep works. The com.apple.boot.plist is for a GeForce 9800 GX2 in slot one so that would be no good to you. As I would always recommend doing a backup by cloning your HDD first depending on whether Chameleon is installed to a HDD or a USB dongle. Credits to The King for sound fixes etc.

Hey thanx for that, I will compare it to mine and report abck if I find some differences in our setups.
One Question, just checked your Extra. Am I right, you do not use HDAEnabler.kext in S/L/E? Are you also using a Highpoint Rocket Raid? Wich mods are made in the HighpointRR.kext?

Hi derpuma, Only problem I have left is reboot after sleep does not work. It works fine if you reboot without sleep. This maybe something to do with openhaltrestart.kext.
Forgot about your card setup, but I can be trying to help up to 10 people at any one time and I have 3 people with P6T6 on the go at the moment as well as have a life!

Hi Understand that! I really do! I am happy to see this forum up here. Insanely is a kind of unsearchable and sticky to use... So I prefere to post in smaller boards like this here... Reeboot is not my prob. Reeboot always works... Only Prob I have is PowerOn after a shutdown! What Highpoint Controller are you using? I have RR3520 and it performs great... Sound is not working with your kexts on 32bit for me and my DSDT. How did you setup S/L/E for Sound? AppleHDA.kext? I will figure out what differences are in youre DSDT compared to mine...

Okay Sound works now with my modified DSDT. I missed the DTGP Part and fixed that and applied the HDEF Part from your DSDT. I will figure out if the PowerOff Porblem is solved with your kexts. Thankx again.
One Question, are you using the RealtekR1000 kext in S/L/E to get bonjour working 100% or does it work right out of the box with your DSDT? If yes, what part did you edit?

I've tried the installer method from Insanelymac and it works fine (booting from USB flash drive) except for the video card. My components consists of: Asus P6T6 WS Revolution 6GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 RAM Intel i7 920 C0 CPU WD Caviar Black 500GB EVGA GTX 275 1792MB HP dvd1170i burner Linksys WUSB600N V1 wireless adapter
I don't have the funds to buy SSDs and RAID yet, but my parents were thinking about buying a Mac Mini to replace a 7 year old desktop PC. I'm surprised that there wasn't much information on installing SL on this Asus board, but there were plenty of installation methods on the other Asus boards.

I would not recommend them to buy a MacMini if they have a son who can help them out with a hacky :-) I build up a hacky for my father two. Think about a Mac Mini with i5 CPU you pay more than 1500 EUR od US, for about the half of this price you will get a much faster Hacky without any limitations in software and much more options in hardware. But if your parents like the small design they maybe should buy a macmini. We have an old one in the office and i can say the machine is not pretty fast...

They only want to use the computer for basic needs. I'm trying to get my i7 to become a dual-boot system with Win7 and Snow Leopard. I just need to get some kext files for my graphics card and wireless adapter.

What Graphic Card do you use? The new netkas EFI 10.5 bootfile does a autoenableing for almost all new cards! www.netkas.org (look for EFI 10.5)... Just copy the boot File to your root directory of you EFI Partition. Butr you have to unhide your hidden Files in Finder to do that or use Pathfinder witch is able to overwrite to bootfile... Then edit your com.apple.boot.plist with the folowing lines: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> Boot up and your GPU will be detected...

My video card is the EVGA GTX 275 1792MB. So that is the file and command I have to edit. Thank you so much for that. So is SL stable on your system?

I'm trying to install Retail Snow Leo on my P6 Revo but with no luck. I've tried many generic HowTos but only now stumbled into this specific one. I've tried both ways: either installing to a USB disk and then attach it to the other PC (the one with the Revo board) and copying the install DVD to a pendrive and then install from it. I guess I have a problem with APIC because in both cases, when i boot with "-v" option, I can see that it hangs after these 2 lines:
IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87 IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 88:111
In BIOS ACPI settings are: 2.0 Support - Enabled ACPI APIC support - Enabled
If i disable APIC i get a nice kernel panic from com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform
System specs: Asus P6T6 WS Revolution Intel Core i7 Extreme i965 @ 3.2Ghz 6Gb Ram 3xNvidia GTX280 (that could be a problem?) 2xWD Raptors in RAID0 attached to ICH10R (that could be another problem?) 1xSamsung SATA HD attached to ICH10R (where i'm supposed to install)
All unused stuff is disabled in BIOS (Marvell SAS, secondary LAN, etc.)
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you would like to get some help, please tell me how you try to install Snow Leo? Look in my thread at insanely, there you should find everything you need to install OSX Snow on that board! www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=202132&hl=If you have Probs, just let me know... The board works 100% without any Probs if you have the right DSDT and the right Kexts!
