mine are 1250PC (I think it means that voltage is a little higher than regular 1250 7447CPUs to handle overclock)
Trying to find switch settings, I even booted fine a 1,8Ghz, but I'm not sure it's a safe option.
Anyway, I don't need the maximum horse power, I prefer safety, and silence so dual 1,4Ghz is quite fine...
Even at original freescale 1,25Ghz, system is still pretty fast, but since voltage might be raised to overclock them, I'm not sure they will run much cooler.
1,4Ghz is just perfect for my needs

For sure the overclockability of these 47's is nothing short of amazing. The dual 1.8 I have in my Quicksilver has run at 1.87 for 5 months without incident, they are watercooled which helps but I seem to remember they were only 1.4's on the chip when I removed the heatsink. With a voltage boost I even got to the desktop at Dual 2 Gigs but not long enough to record before the system froze. I could have boosted the voltage some more but they are too valuable to smoke just to say I have a Dual 2 Gig G4 even if it may be the only one in existance. At this speed you start to get trouble with the mosfets overheating & you really need to watercool these too, for safety.

PS, Gotoh, does your Powerlogix Dual have jumpers or resistors? 8-)

it has 6 switches for each CPU (1 to 6) and I managed to find some kind of concordance with GD jumper settings, but there's one more switch than GD's jumper, and it is on or off depending on the setting used... I have not found why yet.
I already postedd at strangedogs forum the settings I found

I'm now using a PCI bracket "fanmate" meant for 2 fans (each regulator controls 2 fans, one for CPU+120mm, the other for both base 80mm fans)
this regulator uses 5V line and converts it to 6 to 12V for a maximum 14,4W/1,2A
Since all the fans I'm using draw less than 2W each, I guess it's safe to have 2 connected on each line.
I just installed 10.4.3 on a firewire drive to check maximum CPU temperature with CPUdirector :
- running all fans at approx 7V (I can barely hear them, noiseblocker S2 in my 400W thermoregulated ATX-PSU covers the other fans' noise)
- disabling PLX DFS, setting performances to max
- running DNETC client
- room temperature is approx 33°C

CPUs temperature slowly reaches 66°C and stabilizes at 66°C, after 5 minutes of DNETC, and still 66°C 10 minutes later.
Setting fans at full speed (sounds like a dual 1Ghz MDD

), temperatures decrease to 62-63°C
Setting CPUd tu use DFS, and setting performances to automatic, stoping DNETC and living G4 iddle :
temperatures decreases pretty fast to 40°C

That seems to be pretty good values for a dual CPU in a Gigabit Case !

BTW, I also added a D-link 5 USB2 ports PCI card, next thing will certainly be PCI/SATA and some nice 300Gb drive, as my 120Gb Maxtor is getting pretty old now...
