 Supercomputer MoBo with 10.7.4
« Thread Started on May 22, 2012, 3:22pm »

hi guys here is a living proof how worthy was this motherboard, plus got the PCIe wireless DWA-556 (which works OB on Hackintosh) to be honest there had been up and downs with the updates but we the latest 10.7.4 every thing came as an original Mac Pro again ;D

how did you get 10.7.4 working? i am having the same issue many people with x58 based asus boards are. And i can't get the 10.6.8 AppleACPIPlatform.kext working which seems to be the "solution" for many users. When i install that i get stuck at waiting for root device hang.

Anyway, please let me know how you got 10.7.4 working and maybe post your DSDT and extras folder or any special kexts you use.

Thanks!

**edit**
Ok nevermind i am able to boot now with the 10.6.8 AppleACPIPlatform.kext. For some odd reason i had to manually delete the startup caches and its been booting fine ever since. Hopefully some smart folks can figure out why lion's ACPI kext isn't working for Asus x58 boards in 10.7.4 - since i am sure this issue will carry over to 10.8 later this summer.

I Used Tony & Mac guides and tools, not DSDT required, just needed to change my graphic card for one that is compatible with 10.6.8 then switch the card to my GTX 460!!

sorry for late reply

Sorry for late reply, this particular mother board does not need DSDT, the software read it as original, here is what I did using tony&mac
guides my friend and for the audio I used AD200b Audio form Aquamac, some times there is glitch but nothing serious just plug out and in again USB speaker and done, using and USB head set will work too without the next.

For Audio Use AD200b from this forum!!!
