hey guys,
wondering if the 80mm fan from the hdd area can be fitted to a 3pin header instead of to a molex connector.
ive got a 3pin header and wires from an unused fan, is it possible to connect it to the 80mm fan and connect to the mobo case fan header?

What i did with mine is swapped out the mac fan with a regular 80mm and hooked it up with a 3 to 4 pin power adapter and am running it off of the cdrom power. It works just fine and no the G5 doesn't freak about the original fan being missing.

im doing a g5 to atx conversion, and want to use the 80mm fan, connected to the 3pin on my atx mobo.
