 Sawtooth CPU modern heatsink
« Thread Started on Apr 19, 2006, 6:29am »

What i wanted was for my CPU to run cooler and any other cpu's that i put in later.
Why you ask, doesn't Mac have superior cooling than a regular PC? Well, to a point it does, but i wanted better.

Nice mod JJ,

Should also assist the PS shift the heat from the top half of the case. If that is not a dual heatsinkit (don't think it is) I can supply one with the 1.4 Sonnet processor. I think the burning smell may have been you burning the midnight oil as they say!

Thank you. As for the PS, well, mine is a modded 450 Flower running 3 fans. Not too much heat in there but it's still nice to keep things cool in there.
No, it's not a dual heatsink, just a single.
As for the burning smell, i moved the wires and the smell was gone. I thing it was just the wires heating up for being stuck in and not around the heatsink.
The midnight oil always burns here. Might need to change to Greek oil. Doesn't burn out as fast. lol
