 Too Many Drives??
« Thread Started on May 27, 2008, 2:26am »

In my MDD i have 7 hard drives. 2 of which are Raptors. All my slots are full everywhere and i have 3 extra fans.

Lately my power supplies went south on me. I'm on my 3rd in 3 weeks!
They're the quieter 360 watt ones. Apple doesn't seem to carry the louder 400 watts anymore, but i think thats the one i need.
When i plug the power cable in to turn the MDD on, it just revs out and doesn't go through the boot sequence without my pushing the button. The power light button in the front doesn't even come on.

Has anyone heard or had this issue before?

My old power supply must have been a dud cause now i have 8 drives inside the MDD and its been holding out for 6 months straight with no shut downs.
Nice!!

just go for the 400w psu and change the two 60x25 fans.
