Free Lance web design?

Im a student and really need to make some money due to difficulties at home.

I can do basic web design using dreamweaver and have worked with CMS , CSS , Html and photoshop.

My question is how can I make money from this, Im willing to dedicate more time to learning more to improve my skills but I know I cant compete with big company's and some free lancers who offer very cheap prices.

Can someone help me with web design and setup?

Hi, I am starting a small home business and I just opened a account with a web host. Sadly I don't really care for any of the web templates. Everything is so boring and office standard. Can anyone suggest a web designer (CHEAP! I am a very small business) or suggest a site I can find free templates. I love designing things myself... But am find it hard to find a template that is customisable. I sell Homemade natural soap and beauty products with a bizarre theme twist and most templates have random people or computer images I cannot remove.

I moved both of your posts to one topic, since you don't need to flood our forums. As for cheap web design, try doing it yourself using one of many mac programs to your avail.

iWeb, NVU, Sandvox...

I'd suggest you work on your own website, try to build a brand and create a site which potential customers look at and say "wow". Obviously you will also need to be competitive, but it doesn't sound like that is going to be a major issue.
